‘One Tough Cookie’ Ice Cream Sandwich

Get out to VOTE on May 19th for your favorite candidate.  Longtime Shane’s Customer Lynne Abraham inspired an ice cream sandwich made with her favorite confection, Almond Buttercrunch.  This almond cookie is filled with Franklin Chocolate Ice Cream, rolled in Almond Buttercrunch Toffee and named for Lynne, who’s “One Tough Cookie”

Coconut Batido

Franklin Fountain coconut ice cream is whipped in a whirlwind with fresh banana and, for the first time ever, Shane’s own house made bean-to-bar chocolate.  Served in a coconut shell with a bamboo straw for a true taste of the tropics.

Tamanend Day – May 1st

On May 1st at 7pm we will host a celebration in commemoration of Chief Tamanend and William Penn’s Peaceful agreement to live in harmony at The Tamanend Statue (on the corner of Market St. and Front St.)  Chief Tamanend was a respected leader of a Lenni-Lenape clan that inhabited this region and was known for his exceptional efforts at peace and friendship between the Native American tribes and the European settlers led by William Penn.
